Here we are at the end of the year and that means it’s time for fashion makeup trends to start changing again. For many women, it’s been hard to settle on a single makeup style because the current range is so saturated with high-quality makeup products. In fact, if you were to visit any high street store these days, you would be confronted with an abundance of high-quality beauty makeups from which you could choose. However, for the majority of women, shopping for cosmetics is often a trial-and-error process, as they find the perfect shade to match but then cannot find it in the makeup section because they’ve bought too much.
This year, for the first time, we are expecting a shift in the fashion makeup trends, with possibly some new characters entering the scene. For example, we have been seeing a lot of women choosing to ditch their foundation and powder and go for skin-toned colours such as cream, peach and bronze. This is especially popular with women over 30, who are no longer ashamed of going without foundation. The new line of make up for women, therefore, will be less predictable than usual and will feature some very interesting colours. This could lead to some exciting fashion makeup trends.
However, this all comes back to the main point: that this year there will be less defined fashion makeup trends. This is because the range of products available to women has grown so dramatically, especially when you consider that a few years ago, very few products were available to cater for a variety of skin tones. Instead, the cosmetics industry concentrated on producing age-specific make up that involved the use of cream and mineral foundation. So the next time you’re watching the September cover of Women’s Weekly magazine and see this, remember that we are still waiting for new makeup trends to emerge, and instead, concentrate on the many exciting products that are now available for young and old women alike.
